I see Jonathan Demme’s rarely available 1979 neo-noir Last Embrace has popped up on Prime. If you love 70s conspiracy thrillers such as Marathon Man or Blow Out it’s a wonderfully unhinged schlocky companion in which Janet Margolin utterly steals the film.

I recommend catching this before it disappears; an Arena from 1980 with Andrea Dunbar and Victoria Wood. More time is spent with Dunbar, who tragically couldn’t live up to her early promise, than the *electric* Wood, just on the cusp of becoming a household name. www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/epis...
