Borders get tricky when the courses of rivers meander over time!

(Many such cases for state borders along the Mississippi River, for instance.)

I can certainly see how this might lead to misunderstandings. Hopefully nothing serious.

One of my exams today included a question with this statement as one of its possible responses:

"The atomic number of the element berkelium is 97."

The exam was in a room with two very large periodic tables.

Still, it was so validating when a student stopped me to take a closer look at my shirt!
