The kingdom of God is like when a pastor sits at coffee shop and a guest of the food pantry says "Hi" opening up the opportunity to pray for them as they apply for jobs, share their art, and learn about each other as real people.

The kingdom of God is like a Pastor who is greeted like Taylor Swift when the specific needs students walk into a coffee shop where she is working, but woe are the fancy Christian ladies who get up and move away from the students.

Pastoring is many things. Today it’s living into the dichotomy that I live in the reddest county in Michigan and pastor at the largest food pantry in that county. While my county doesn’t vote for systemic change they show up and support our ministry even though we love people they hate.
