I showed my pride this ACE Week with clothes, brooches and mask covers in the colours of the Asexual flag. It's not the most inspiring colour combination, in fact it's a bit 'meh', but while fifty shades of grey does nothing for me, I can definitely get into fifty shades of purple!

Spent a satisfying few hours at Bendigo Foodshare's spring bookfair/fund-raiser this arvo, and came home with a carry-on size bagful of second-hand books. Today's mask and brooch combo was the Erstwilder x Children's Book Council of Australia's puffin brooch and FloMask with a cotton puffin cover

Here's a few of the other cool quarters I got. Finding fabric celebrating New Orleans's Mardi Gras was unexpected but I ♥️♥️♥️ Bourbon St jazz (and by ♥️, I mean I frequently listen to it in the car, often hit repeat several times, and grin from ear-to-ear from start to finish).

I went to Spotlight today to buy some fabric to make a pair of trousers, and ended up buying more fabulous prints to make mask covers with. Imagine my delight at finding this!!! 😍😷😍

Big day today meeting new senior manager. Decided to show some support for my Aboriginal colleagues with an Aboriginal print mask cover and a Melanie Hava (North Queensland Aboriginal artist) x Erstwilder brooch. This is a heavier cotton so a bit more condensation build up but breathing still easy.

Another day, another cover for my Flo Mask! Pretty in pink today, with pink sweater, Jocelyn Proust Galah print paired with Major Mitchell/Pink Cockatoo Proust x Erstwilder brooch. People are noticing & complimenting which is nice. Maybe if we could make masks more fun more people might wear them?

I'm having fun with the mask covers I'm making and matching them with my outfits. This is another Jocelyn Proust print that I paired with a turquoise sweater and Erstwilder x Proust brooch. The cover is attached to the front of the frame with mask tape so I can peel it back to SIP then re-stick!

Peppermint stick insect. Only found in Far North Queensland. Good chance of finding one in young pandanus along the Marrdja / Madja Boardwalk at Cape Tribulation.

Had the day off today to make it an extra long weekend, and slept until lunchtime. Spent a few hours at the shops this afternoon feeling safe and secure in my low nose bridge @flomask.bsky.social with a cotton Jocelyn Proust 🌈 Lorikeet insert over a Pro filter. Barely noticed the extra layer.
