WTF... Did you try to do this star test at home? That should give you some idea if you have it or not: de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Astigma... You have to look at it with one eye closed and see if it gets blurry at a certain angle.

So did they do the test wrong? That's really weird, although I heard from other people that eye doctors are notoriously bad at eyesight tests. I always get mine done by an optometrist in a shop.
