Primaries are actually a fantastic way to get a jumpstart on organizing for the general. It gets people interested and on the ground earlier. It also gives the candidate practice in communicating and defending their positions. Plus, you know, it's pro-democracy to give people options.

If people prefer Goldman, he'll win. If people prefer Lander, he'll win.
