I wish you all the best in healing from all all this. I went through a very similar experience a few years ago (it turned out I had undiagnosed OCD) and learning methods to prevent spiraling and ruminating thoughts was an important step for my own healing.

Victor is definitely not a hero or saviour in the film imo
