i had the handler in js (because it's a static deployment calling a php backend) but I just make an abstraction that knows which backend route to hit depending on the formaction. (also thank you enhance, you are a blessing)

but for tables, I prefer to wrap the whole table in a form then use formaction on each of my buttons
name=delete
formaction=?delete
value=X
etc
name=delete
formaction=?delete
value=X
etc

i also use this when I'm developing a plugin for wordpress and such and my injected markup is already inside a form. so I use svelte-portal to inject my form into the body and then assign a form attribute to each of my inputs.
