We're aware of reports that #Discord will begin introducing ID checks for users. As you can imagine, we're very unhappy with this decision. We're staunchly opposed to grabs at biometric data, legal names, etc.

Yeah, if someone has Proship DNI they are a dangerous person and you should not interact with them. Willingness to engage in violence over fiction is not something to be proud of, and the fact that we let so many people treat that as if it was a virtue is insane.
I always get mad when I see this happening to another person, even if we don't share a fandom, because I know what the experience feels like.
EVERYONE needs to reinforce that "Proship DNI" is a RED FUCKING FLAG. Keep them away from your communities. They legitimately make places unsafe.
