Pedantic, but at least with "$", the symbol precedes the number. "$0", not "0$".

Just like "WTF's/hour" is a good metric, the "How did this ever work? / week" is one to track from time to time.

There are always times where rules of thumb need to be broken, but without more specific requirements, use cases, contexts, etc. that's my "opening salvo". 2/2

As a general rule I prefer to solve the problem I have. I'm not Spotify, so I don't need to try and solve Spotify's scale and perf needs. Different scales require different arch. And I'm fine making those changes when I get there. YAGNI and all that. 1/2
