While I agree with the sentiment, I think saying "it's true or it isn't" just can't account for the fact that we don't know everything, or even enough. So I fight to learn enough to make the decision one way or the other. Just like the Greeks, our society may be missing something crucial.

Therefore, we can accept heliocentrism even though the stars appear in the same place each night, because we have learned more fundamental principles of the universe.

Personally, I fight to know what the truth is.
The Greeks rejected Heliocentrism because they believed the universe was smaller, and they didn't see evidence of the Earth orbiting the sun, at least in the movements of the night sky.
