He'd ask me about you each time I saw him, Rachel. Remember when he came over specially for Karen's lecture at Birmingham library in 2017 (I think) and we all had dinner? Happy memories.

after a hip replacement, on crutches, still in bandages. At Montacute House, I found him queuing for a cream tea, took his tray & insisted he sit down while I queued for him. He smiled & shuffled off accordingly (I think he enjoyed it). RIP Neil. 2/

How many writers write with this much confidence? Sutherland suggested that JA deliberately did not leave space for revision (unlike other writers of the time). Poignant to see the MS & letters alongside the lock of George Austen's hair that JA kept folded in this little piece of paper.

So far we've found Shakespearean epitaphs from 30 plays, 16 sonnets, and 3 of the longer poems. The only plays not on our list?

Taming of the Shrew
Henry VI 1 & 3
Two Gentlemen
Love’s Labours
Merry Wives
Coriolanus
Pericles

Cemetery strollers, let us know if you spot a quote from one of these!
