Last year of regs and they knew McLaren had the better car but shit strategy… allowing Will to leave ally and join McLaren would have already sealed the WDC for Norris or Piastri.

McLaren has poached Red Bulls strategic boss Will Courtenay but he’s not permitted to join until mid 2026. McLaren tried to get him on the pit wall this season but Red Bulls would not grant him leave or waiver of 6 months gardening period.

Not the way he was driving and Max was… Norris was in don’t fuck this up and try and get on the podium mode… the Red Bull was faster than the Mercedes and Norris struggled to pass Antonelli on newer tyres… Kimi’s wobble is the only reason Lando got 4th.

That’s giving McLaren credit… they are the worst team at race strategy in the front if the pack… worse than Ferrari and that’s saying something…
With the double stacked… Norris would still have finished at 4th at a minimum and Piastri would have won the race…
