Nice to see The Guardian @theguardian.com finally noticing that Matthew Goodwin is racist. Must’ve missed the memo when they ran his book promo in 2023.

This fully revised and expanded edition will be reimagined as a fully-fledged textbook, complete with Key Concepts and Case Study features. Although the core research is done, I want this edition to reflect the most comprehensive, global, and up-to-date scholarship available.

Halfway through, the Barcelona Summer School 2025 has already turned into a blast of ideas, debates, and late-night conversations, leaving everyone both exhausted and exhilarated for what's still to come.

I tried pitching a piece on the boycott of No Other Land by PACBI. What happened says a lot about how media works right now.

📢 A quick note for applicants: Scholarships are limited, but we’re doing our best to offer as many as possible.

Fees accessible, with discounts (10–20%) and bundles for multiple courses — but we know a week in Barcelona isn’t easy.

If you can make it, it’ll be worth it. Two special events included

2⃣ Two years later, everything I warned about has happened. The culture war wasn’t lost in a skirmish—it was a total rout.

3️⃣ Yet the woke left survived, mostly by moving to Bluesky or Canada, while others — deported students, immigrants, workers—paid the real price.

I’m a small fish here, but those with big platforms need to speak up. A “far-right expert” with 11.8k followers likens the UK to Weimar Germany and calls anyone who defines womanhood on the basis of biological sex a "transphobe". This isn’t analysis—it’s unhinged.

I read it in high school (don't laugh, compulsory reading in French high schools!) and I had it in my notes since then. I don't have the book with me now, but I downloaded it to answer: 8th walk. Translations vary of course.

Now going back to marking papers. 🙂

I'm afraid you're wrong, @carmunist.bsky.social is right.

The quote is from Rousseau’s “Reveries of the Solitary Walker” (Les Rêveries du Promeneur Solitaire). In the original, it reads: "Le monde réel a ses limites; le monde imaginaire est infini."

❌ They are not progressive. They are not radical. They are simply reactionaries, a loud tribal minority hollowing out genuine leftist politics. Their "activism"—selfish, dangerous, and divisive—is the dictionary definition of reactionary politics.

⛔️ Identitarian activism embodies an insidious form of privilege, advocating a defeatist stance oblivious to the harm inflicted upon the marginalized communities they claim to represent. While actual victims struggle for survival, identitarians virtue-signal from comfortable perches on Bluesky.

⛔️ Identitarian activism rarely engages in meaningful debate, preferring hyperbole, ad hominem attacks, and emotional appeals over reasoned argumentation.

April 18, 2025 at 12:29 PM
⛔️ Identitarian activism is untethered from reality, swiftly embracing misinformation whenever politically convenient.

⛔️ Identitarian activism is deeply unprincipled, upholding liberal democratic values only when outcomes align perfectly with its own agenda.
