You can tell Asteriaa is like a brother to him but not exactly. He's a found family that he couldn't explain if he sees him as a brother, a child, or similar. He simply feels he wanted to take care and protect him

Nag'molada and the Leis also he consider family esp the latter as she sheltered Chanan until he is old enough to fend for himself.

He don't speak since he just project his thoughts to everyone except Esha, Nag, and Leis but overall he's a quiet child and started to just speak to Esha and Leis

I always assumed pearls are not an accessory where you just put it there like a headset or something if you need to talk to the other end but this special pearl seems to be wearable type I guess
