We rescue, rehabilitate & release back into the wild orphaned & injured otters. 🦦
We're dedicated to promoting a positive understanding of otters. 🦦
A whistle-stop tour of the new rehab centre, ready for the move in a few months time 🦦🏡.

Words can’t express how grateful we are to all our amazing supporters for donating the funds to save our charity after we were given just six months notice to leave our current site 💕

Enrichment time for Idris, Mingo & Scratch 🦦🦦🦦

Otters love running water, and the hose also provides mental stimulation, hunting practice & exercise during the cubs’ rehabilitation.

Another ‘behind the scenes at UKWOT’ video as Iris moves to a larger enclosure.

And some banter between Dave (CEO/founder) and Lily (volunteers) about the fact that everyone at UKWOT does so on a voluntary basis, purely out of love for working with, and for, otters 😇🦦💕.

Interesting to see the ‘couch’ made by one of our cubs, Pumpkin, in her holt 🛋️

In the wild, otters have couches where they rest during the day. You might see areas of flattened reeds or long grass on dry land near the water’s edge forming a mat.

Lincoln & Gypsy were rescued separately late last year and have recently been successfully introduced to one another (as you can see, they’re getting along very well ❤️❤️).

Our new couple can be adopted via our website: ukwildottertrust.org/adopt-an-ott...

Introducing Esther, the first cub to be rescued at UKWOT this year 🦦💕

She was found alone by the side of a main road in Caerphilly and is now thriving in our rehab centre, having put on nearly half a kilo since her arrival 😊

A little “behind-the-scenes at UKWOT video" of Morna moving into a larger enclosure from one of our intro pens for the next stage of her rehabilitation 🦦💕.

She weighed just 600g when she came to us last summer having been found alone on the SW Coastal Path & now weighs 4kg.

Otters are very capable climbers & jumpers as you can see here when one of our cubs Diesel (aka Super Otter 🦦🦸!) had climbed the fence in his enclosure in anticipation of his dinner arriving!
