Friend was trying to sell her flat screen for $50 - just had to come pick it up … from the third floor of her apartment
I told her she’d have to pay *me* $50 to take it out of there. She eventually found someone to take it for free and realized she was fortunate

Fuck. This hits way too close to home. A former labmate has been calling me about his research, saying he’s stumbled upon something major, but our old boss (his PI) just isn’t seeing it; the faculty are ignoring him; they’re all apathetic; etc. I keep telling him I don’t understand … (cont’d)
