World Art Day
To mark World Art Day (15 April) the Glucksman are highlighting their Art Library programme, a loan collection of artworks that is available to schools, community hubs and healthcare settings across Ireland.

Safe and Sound ran campaigns around stalking, image based sexual abuse, gaslighting, condom usage, sexual harassment, and Seachtain na Gaeilge - snag.ie . A focus group for international students was held on 6 Mar, international students were invited to share their thoughts on creating content.

On 7 March, 11:00-13:00 in the CACSSS Seminar Room, Patricia Kennedy (UCC) and Gina Miyagawa, Roma Health Co-ordinator, Cork Kerry Community Healthcare, HSE gave an overview of the development of the Health Strategy for Roma in Cork and Kerry (2024)

On 5 March, the UCCSU Equality Working Group (EWG) hosted their first Community Day. The aim of this day was to highlight the many community groups that work in this community and to encourage students to get involved and use the resources available to them.

24 February marked the 3rd anniversary of Russia's invasion of Ukraine, the Boole Library hosted Ukrainian women, now based in Cork. This event ws presented in conjunction with the Unissued Diplomas - www.unissueddiplomas.org

Bystander Intervention - www.ucc.ie/en/bystander/ had a powerful 2025 Bystander Intervention week (24-28 Feb) on campus, with 400+ students signing up, committing to engage with the training and recognising the community response needed to end sexual harassment/violence.

Postgraduate Expo 2025

Mna@UCC, REN and UCC Language Centre have an International Women's Day planned for Friday, March 7. They are calling on all colleagues to let them know they would be most welcome to pop into Ardpatrick on Thursdays 2-4 p.m. to learn how to make them.

The UCC Safe and Sound project held a Staff Soapbox event on 23Jan in the Dora Allman Room, the Hub. The speakers Dr Ciara Staunton, Gary Mulcahy, Dr Sharon Lambert, and Dr Caroline West shared their work that is contributing to making UCC a more safe and sound place
