(Just to quietly point out that they are certainly giving workers more rights with the Employment Rights Bill.)

This is a genuinely intolerable reality…

I don't remember my grandad; he died when I was three. But I'm told her never spoke about his experiences, and my aunt described him as "gentle".

System of a Down's "War" makes me think of him:
"We don't speak any more of war /
We don't speak any more of war /
We don't speak any more."

Today I talked my 14yo through a brief history of metal (starting with blues, through Led Zeppelin to Black Sabbath, to thrash, punk, nu metal, pop punk, emo...). Maiden came up!

And thanks to Craig @northstreetgames.bsky.social for hosting and being so helpful in getting testers to the table 😊

I enjoyed winning our game of Origin Story afterwards too 😃

And honestly I'm in love with this game - thinking back to when it was just a bundle of ideas, it feels like it's all grown up!

Thanks to Tim and Dan for playing with me!

We all slipped into our roles, negotiations were made (not least to scupper my victory), dramatic moments occurred. The game ran smoothly, edge cases were discovered and examined - a really positive playtest.
