Indeed. There have been times when humankind wasn’t horrible to one another. Rare and brief times. And there could be compassionate capitalism. Sadly, misogyny and racism, fear, greed, hate, seem to stomp out kindness over and over again. Right now for instance.

Capitalism doesn’t have to be evil vicious greed. It can and should be generous and kind. Sadly, as a general rule, people that seek power and influence are horrible humans. It’s been that way for tens of thousands of years.

I’ll never understand why democrats didn’t stand behind Biden and support him better. He is easily the best president of my lifetime (the 1st election I could vote in was 1980) and I doubt I will see a better one. We’ll be lucky if we get one even half as good. What a mess.
