1) When cops/agents attack calm politicians and reporters, you know something is wrong.

...I can't put a price on how valuable it was to meet all of those artists and creative practitioners and just absorb the creative culture of a city like New York.

If you ever want to see more of something you read but don't feel like you can do anything about it because you're not an influencer or a publisher or a journalist, even just leaving a five star review online moves the needle. Even telling a friend "you'd like this too"!

Also - don't be shy about asking your peers about their situations. You don't necessarily have to get into $$$ specifics. And be open yourself - figure out what you're comfortable sharing and put it out there. //
