Two other things to shout out!

• Tommie Earl Jenkins acted his ass off at the end of the game!

• BB’s Theme and the self-titled song by CHVRCHES that plays during the credits are incredible!

Also, here are my stats from the journey! It took me nearly 67 hours to complete the game, and I’m positive I could’ve spent quite a bit more time in it.

My one main gripe is that the boss fights were very simplistic and uninteresting. The very definition of weak sauce.

The person who wrote that should be embarrassed for saying something so silly 🤦🏽‍♂️

I never said that, nor did I expect that.

The point is to garner interest and get people excited. People will naturally guess, but when it’s a vague tease like this, it’s annoying seeing entire news cycles spin out of people declare “it’s gotta be this” or “it’s definitely that.” It also unfairly sets expectations. Just let things unfold.

Oh it’s definitely good work ethic since it keeps my head in that game’s space. It’s just frustrating when it takes a long time to write/edit the review.

Outside of reviews, I still tend to be a “one at a time” person, but I’m just able to get through more games of course lol.

I like this review - especially your take on Atsu embracing the Onryo early. You captured the intimacy in storytelling in a way I struggled to articulate

I also agree Jin isn’t boring, a great character in his own right - though Atsu's presentation & depth makes her more compelling and interesting

Thank you! I actually wanted to touch on the intimacy more, specifically the presentation and how it relates to Westerns, and the urgency/directness of the opening. They both set the tone for a deeply personal revenge story, as opposed to the epic, action movie tone that Tsushima sets for itself.

It’s really the eternal struggle. Doubly so for me since whenever I review a game, I don’t play anything else until the review is done 🙃

Lol don’t worry because I don’t have that reaction either and I watch some of the same things as those people. It’s either in your nature or it’s not
