in all seriousness, one of my biggest regrets in life has been that i quit playing hockey when i was 16. i started playing again 2 or 3 years ago and all the guys i play with have like 20 years worth of practice beyond me! i still can't even make a decent slap shot!

having worked in elementary schools, high schools, & universities.....i'm not sure that standards are lower, but i absolutely think that giving every kid a laptop (as they do in our district) starting in 1st grade has resulted in everyone having slop-brain on a level that never existed 10 yrs ago.
