I did my civic duty and removed every one when I saw them. And luckily not everyone in my town is awful so other people were removing them as well. And because these were flyers and not stickers, the person used tacks. So yes ripping them down was free; but now I also have a whole jar of free thumb tacks and my daily walks are propaganda free iamthedevilswalkingstick To OP's point, this is usually one person or a small group of people trying to communicate to others with similar beliefs that their community is a safe place to hold and express those beliefs. Tearing down stickers or posters is literally saying "no, it's not, bigotry is not safe here." That is an incredibly important thing to say.
