As stories go, it captured it's target audience. That's why I say that. The kids who liked it REALLY liked it and it shows through her success.
But even though I liked it as a child, I would never reread the books as an adult because now it's just meh.

Anyone who gets others to do things that they should do for themselves tells alot to a potential employer about their ethics. Especially if there ends being a large disparity between how they present themselves and what they can actually do.

Sometimes people have others write everything for them in the application process and asking questions in the interview not only weeds those people out but is a good indicator for honesty from a potential employee

There should be balance. It is right to speak out against what you don't like or hate because if there's merit in it and enough people agree, there can be change whereas staying silent brings no change when change is needed.

Her work seemed to be aimed at children/teenagers and for that it was very good but from the perspective of adult readers, it probably wouldn't have been as magical or enjoyable
