Center-gripped shields were preferred. At the same time, those peoples seem to have been renown for fighting in shield walls.

FWIW, Mamdani won the Democrats' primary with 43% of the votes, in contrast to Eric Adams's 30% back in 2021.
However, there is still the question of whether a platform that works in NYC would necessarily work outside it

On the other other hand, Cuomo was unpopular as hell; would any ex-Democrat idiot trying to split the vote have split it as much as Cuomo did? Or was Mamdani not as popular as we think, because even the unpopular Cuomo managed to split the vote that much?

I'm kinda torn on how to interpret that mayoral elections in re: Mamdani's popularity. On one hand he did demonstrably worse than other Democrats in NYC elections for the past couple of decades, on the other hand Cuomo did split the votes

I normally do xmas with a particular pair of friends because I live away from family, so each year they do a classic pot roast while I'm let off the leash to do a different meat dish and desserts

I'm in a weird position where I tend to view any food that doesn't necessitate extreme animal or human cruelty, or extreme danger to humans, as being valid, so people going off on how X food is the devil is a little strange to me sometimes

I'm curious as to whether some of the respondents saying "yes" to that particular question might be imagining a city life that is a substantial upgrade from their current circumstances (i.e. living in MUCH richer circumstances), rather than mostly the same circumstances but with city amenities

If the respondent lives in, say, a 3 bedroom suburban house with a front + back yard and 1 car, and is told "move to the city and money is no object", what sort of lifestyle is the respondent imagining? A penthouse suite in the heart of Manhattan? A nice 1 or 2 bedroom apartment somewhere in NYC?
