Glad to be helpful haha <3. I know less than 1% of C++. I've been mostly doing competitive programming until now and have started doing practical stuff. I'm trying OpenGL now, doing ok so far Ig haha

Keep going at it! Competitive programming and algorithms will really help you "form your mind" lol

I'm not sure but wasn't there a function for this? I think it was called typeid and in syntax it would be something like typeid(variable).name() and you get something like an 'i' character if it's an integer, and I forgot the rest lmao. Let me know how you solve this haha

May I also recommend UVa online judge at onlinejudge.org. I got more websites I used to get problems from, but most of them were in my native language. When I remember another one in English, I'll send it to you lol

Must have been a beautiful thing to work in a game studio back then, every studio making their own engine and tools. You probably had more opportunites to make something original than what you get in the industry nowadays. Just my opinion, though :D
