To be honest, I skip some videogame-based videos if they sound like my jam because I wanna play them first. I *just* watched the discussion you had on Nebula about Alan Wake II after remembering it exists and that I now have played the game. Admittedly, probably not a huge influence.

I remembered a different reasoning, specifically about thinking Harry was too feminine to go... out searching for his own daughter? But yeah, I certainly never meant to say his reasoning was sound, just the idea by itself is not bad. Here, I'm not even seeing potentially good ideas, it's dire.

You know, the original movie had lots of problems but some of the new ideas weren't necessarily bad (making the cast all-female could genuinely have been a good way to more deeply explore some of the latent themes in the story) and it looked pretty good. This... uh...

They are just lil guys....

People always make this argument for James Cameron's Avatar and yet I hear people express strong opinions and even love for those movies way more often than for... fucking Aquaman.
