Driving sustainable change requires the courage to break from old ways of doing things. We believe in empowering charities to test fresh approaches.

We've seen first-hand how transformative it can be when charities are given this freedom to innovate – without fear of failure.

At the Turner-Kirk Trust, we believe the most complex problems are best solved by sharing diverse perspectives.

A key theme across the work we fund is providing a foundation for collaboration across multiple disciplines – private enterprises, NGOs, academia, educators, and government bodies.

Charities – it’s okay to fail.

We want to give charities the opportunity to experiment, and this can lead to unexpected outcomes.

And we believe it’s the unexpected outcomes that can often lead to big breakthroughs. That’s why we actively encourage failure.

Philanthropists: As long as you choose the right people to fund, your responsibility is minimal.

What you can do:
→ Help them not continue to make mistakes
→ Offer advice

What you can’t do:
→ Expect them to take your advice
