Very overdue build log update - Kotoko’s dress is complete! There’s a lot I want to improve for a v2 (eventually) but for now, quite pleased with this.
Next up is her beret bow & staff.

Ahh yesss been watching this since I was a kid, still one of my favorites!

Made a lot of progress this weekend - final fabric is cut out and mostly sewn! And the bodice is done which is what I was worried about with the pleating & trim.

So excited to work with you!

Also finished drawing out new pattern pieces with all the alterations so once I reattach the rest of the toile & do a fit test, then it’s time to cut the real fabric ✂️🙀

Full top with lining and pleats test complete! Had to take the whole toile apart but worth it to make sure the pleated front worked

The toile for the dress is almost done! It’s a combination of Sew Over It Circle Skirt, Maridah sleeve pack & self drafting
