Norway may not produce as many hockey stars as Finland and Sweden, but our very own Mats Zuccarello just hit 700 NHL points on November 29, 2025—a truly impressive milestone. What a superstar!

Nordic NHL points leaders by country:
Selanne 🇫🇮 1457
Sundin 🇸🇪 1349
Zuccarello 🇳🇴 700
Ehlers 🇩🇰 535

For a Norwegian observer, it has been refreshing to follow the Danish campaign leading up to the 18 November local elections. While national party leaders tend to dominate debates and media coverage before local elections in Norway, the Danish campaign stands out for its distinctly local profile

As a Norwegian, the news that Morten Harket has Parkinson’s hit me. He is, after all, our only truly international pop star

I usually stay away from social media comment sections—but today I looked, and saw only kindness, admiration and support

Morten Harket seems to have only friends. Well earned

Reading a biographical essay on the great German scholar Max Weber. Like many, he was inspired by America. During his 1904 visit, he admired how U.S. politics relied on professionals bred in free associations—where individuals proved themselves through autonomy and responsibility.

That was then…
