Prisons are for people who've been CONVICTED of crimes.

Most people in these warehouses - without proper food or sanitation or worse - haven't even been CHARGED with crimes.

And thousands are CHILDREN.

This will be another of America's greatest shames.

just building this awful camp system is a crime against humanity imo
The proposed centers are so large that some could house as many as 8,000 detainees at once, according to a DHS spreadsheet of more than 20 potential locations that was verified by NBC News. The largest federal prison in the U.S., for example, has roughly 4,000 inmates.
ICE plans to build mega warehouses for immigration detention spark growing concern
Sources at two government contractors told NBC News they were worried that new warehouses — and the large numbers of immigrants who would be housed in them — would present safety problems.

Read this article. We now have concentration camps all over the country. in San Diego, the local congressman tried to visit and was turned away by the private security officers who run the camp, under orders from DHS.

Predicting that this week we’ll hear more conciliatory words from the Administration regarding Minnesota (since they’re starting to realize that ICE has become politically toxic) but everyone outside of Minnesota needs to know that nothing on the ground has changed.

Ilhan Omar is one of the smartest, strongest, most courageous humans alive. Love her.
I’m ok. I’m a survivor so this small agitator isn’t going to intimidate me from doing my work.

I don’t let bullies win.

Grateful to my incredible constituents who rallied behind me. Minnesota strong.

An absolutely damning story about John Fisher and the A's vaporware Las Vegas stadium.

When this whole deal goes tits-up and Fisher has to sell to some white knight, it'll be a massive humiliation for Rob Manfred who has personally vouched for this relocation and stadium deal for years.
Debacle in the desert: will the Athletics’ $1.75bn stadium on the Vegas Strip ever be built?
It’s been over two years since the A’s were awarded public funding for their new ballpark. But despite last month’s “groundbreaking”, its completion is anything but certain
