While Trump couldn’t care less about Ukraine, he’s foolish to believe he could force an ultimatum and more foolish to not realize he’s being endlessly played by Putin.

Russia’s proposal called for Ukraine’s capitulation. Presented as an ultimatum to Ukraine, it was designed to be rejected to drive a wedge between Ukraine and the U.S.

The rational evolution of a rational US-Ukraine plan evolved when the Dim-Witt Trump ultimatum was lambasted by everyone.

But yes, combined with the ease of travel from Schengen this pretty much allows same-sex couples in countries where same-sex marriage is not legal to get married.

Not to nitpick, but this is more the equivalent of the 2013 Windsor ruling (which mandated states recognize other states' same-sex marriages) rather than Obergefell (which required all states perform same-sex marriages)

Usually, residency isn't required to obtain a marriage license in an EU country.

So what today's EU's supreme court ruling does is put Eastern EU (and 🇮🇹) in the same gay marriage category as 🇮🇱.

Until now, the gay marriage situation in the European Union has been the same as in the United before 2015: some states have it, some states don't.

While in the US the divide was North-South, in the EU the divide was West-East.
