...which affects performance on more demanding games like FF7R. If you look at comparisons, physical S2 games DO take a little longer to load, so I get it, but it still sucks tho. (I'd taken longer load times in exchange for real physical games imo)

There's leaks and rumors from the factories that they're working on making other sizes of carts, but one of the devs at Square Enix DID say that one reason they chose Key Cards over real physical games is performance-

They said switch 2 carts run considerably slower than digital games, (1/2)
