Because the government and its power belong to THE PEOPLE. Never forget that, and never forget who we are.

We are Americans, and we don’t bow the knee to kings or grovel before dictators.

And if it comes down to it, we will dig in our fingers and hold BY FORCE that which is rightfully ours, and we WILL NOT roll over and hand our democracy to a person who is only interested in snatching up as much wealth and power as he can.

So we will PAY ATTENTION to what is happening. We will LOOK OUT FOR each other. We will HOLD our Reps and Senators ACCOUNTABLE for upholding their oath of office and their obligation to The People who elected them.

Well, folks - we’re going to have to fight. We’re going to have to do the hard, and sometimes dangerous work to protect free speech, the rule of law, and our right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Because this is what is at stake, and nobody is going to do the work for us.

So, here we are in a 1930’s dystopian hellscape instead of our normal “land of the free, home of the brave” wondering why we’re here and how we’re going to get out of this mess.

What’s sad and painful is how many people “didn’t see it”, ignored (and continue to ignore) it, or flat out rooted for it. I will never understand these people, and never stop feeling disgusted by their dangerous naivety (best case) or selfishness and cruelty (worst case).
