Just cost them £200million plus on an entirely new strike force

Yep it is that basically, and therefore they are ripe for sky footage.

But its pretty dull that the same team has been featured in the last 3 mondays in the football programme that goes into most depth about football analysis

I asked the question for the football between the lines podcast with flav and the palace fan Dan cook, as to how many players as a neutral would he rate as top 6 quality - he listed vdv & romero, maybe porro, maybe spence, maybe udogie, and then bergvall, maddison and deki. No attackers or vic

And we scored just 11 goals in the last 12 league games of the season. Hardly attacking free flowing football

yep the players with potential should be learning and picking up the style of player and culture from the experienced players. but they'll be picking up messed up ideas, bad habits and attitudes.

this whole situation with not acknowledging the fans in home games is symptomatic of the mess
December 14, 2025 at 11:31 PM
tis true. although sadly we are in such a mess with our squad planning and registration issues that we need several players to leave to free up space!

that's clearly not on frank - these registration issues were and have been there way before his appointment
December 14, 2025 at 11:26 PM
oh absolutely. but like i say, he's a real measuring stick - he's a mid-table keeper and that's where we are!
December 14, 2025 at 11:24 PM
i always like davies and i'm probably biased. but for me he is someone i would want to keep around because apart from anything else he's an experienced head, a good role model, speaks well, a team player and happy enough to know his role. but we have several players that aren't multiple of those
December 14, 2025 at 11:22 PM
good thread. vic for me is a real measuring point of where we should be seen as a squad - definitely no more than average of PL keepers
December 14, 2025 at 10:46 PM
Spot on. We've so many players who wouldn't be in sone of the top clubs first teams or even squads. so many spurs fans keep going on about how this squad should be doing better - but i would struggle to think of many players that neutrals rate
December 14, 2025 at 10:41 PM
2 experienced players too and also both great leaders!
December 14, 2025 at 8:11 PM
Yes, because they are all upgrades on what we currently have
December 14, 2025 at 6:59 PM
Said it before but our fan base seems to think we have so many better players than we actually do. This isnt a particularly good squad!
December 14, 2025 at 6:57 PM
I'll forgive palinha because damage had already been done.

Also unlike the others, he is new to the club, rather than being ones that have been around for several seasons
December 14, 2025 at 4:08 PM
i've said it before, but i don't think romero is much of a captain.

and porro's attitude today absolutely stunk

and vic was atrocious

that's 3 of the senior players at the club

and i've not even started on richy
December 14, 2025 at 3:56 PM
even when he's been scoring recently he's been pretty bad most games.
December 14, 2025 at 3:31 PM
it's not the subs i have a problem with, it's the performance from the others.
December 14, 2025 at 3:30 PM
he was being linked to inter before we signed him, so that would make sense given their keeper sommer is now over 35
December 14, 2025 at 3:06 PM
not only that but clearly vic didn't shout a warning either
December 14, 2025 at 3:05 PM
maybe, but he clearly didn't get a shout either
December 14, 2025 at 3:03 PM
but vic is the one that can see how close the opponent is and doesn't need to pass it to him
