3. Trump’s tariffs were taxes on YOU. Tariffs are paid by importers, not foreign countries. When Trump put tariffs on goods from China or Europe, US companies paid more, passed the cost to you, and called it patriotism. It wasn't.

Reality check:

1. Germany doesn’t set EU tariffs--the EU handles trade policy for its members.

2. Reciprocity exists. The US already had relatively low tariffs and still does, but it also benefited from massive export markets, e.g. on German cars.
