I loved it when Shula, Caroline, Nigel et al were romping through the 80s with the young farmers. But the standout SLs for me were 1) the Great Brookfield Inheritance Row; 2) Brian Jenny & Siobhan; 3) Shula and Alistair's marriage breakdown, not high drama but superbly written & acted.

We went there earlier this year. Favourite chocolate shop: Dumon at the top of Mariastraat. Favourite art: the Memling story at Sint-Janshospitaal. Favourite museum: Bruges Vrije in the Burg, also worth 5€ to see Mary of Burgundy's crown in the Basilica of the holy Blood. Restaurant: Diligence.
