See, one of the wonderful things about being on a podcast is you can sometimes just shout out to the world and someone gives you the answer. Thanks!

I 2nd that recommendation. It's my go-to. Lightweight enough that I could still use it on my old Intel Mac. Feature-full enough to do what I need.

Yep, twice a year that comes up. I'm not sure how I feel about it. Toronto is far enough north that winters can be pretty dark. I don't like switching, but the argument over permanent DST vs permanent ST is something nobody is going to agree on.

Do you know humanize? It does that and much more. So useful they include it in Django templates :)

Always up for another history podcast... but I don't see an RSS feed, which generally is a non-starter for me. :(

The provincial vs federal jurisdictions are very well defined here, and within their jurisdictions the provinces can almost act as countries. A lot of this is a side effect of Quebec wanting independence when we wrote our constitution.

Until very recently we even had inter-provincial trade barriers. For example, it is still easier for Ontario wineries to sell into the states than it is to sell to British Columbia, even though they're both Canadian provinces.

Not sure, but given 4 of our provinces each have their own separate mechanism for certifying under the convention, I suspect it took that long for them all to negotiate the right to do it themselves.

We're not as bad as the US, but provinces have a lot of power here, so lots of "mine!"

I live demo in the REPL a lot when I teach. 3.14 helps that with the syntax highlighting, definitely worth that. A few more error message improvements is also useful too.

Came here to write this! Serenity is a master class in exposition and introduction without feeling like an info dump.

I've been looking for a good Hoobijag tutorial. Anything you can recommend?
