The casual misogyny in the city never fails to amaze. Separately this week, two female colleagues in their 30s leading a consultancy referred to as "those young girls", and another two completely unalike except both blonde asked "are you sisters?"

Something about Amber and her flaws I've warmed to. The influencing is tedious but the Real Her has emerged as far more likeable. She doesn't seem entitled or whiny (Plop, Helen). Gets on and works, is trying to be independent. Just wants a close family and some unconditional love #TheArchers

People putting Christmas decs up earlier every year isn't because they buy into marketing. It's a sign everyone is miserable and desperately needs something twinkly to feel slightly better about. Either way it's terminal capitalism rot, but still.
