Re: Pinned post, I need to take some time to get myself together. I am not in the headspace to write love confessions when everything is feeling very nihilistic and soul crushing.

with work absolutely kicking my ass for the past week and a bit (even had to stuff home over the weekend), plus the unbearable heat that makes just living exhausting means chapter 60 is going to be a little late :(

But it is on its way and the delay shouldn't be more than a day or 2
a text snippet from chapter 60 of Rip Tide: Cavity Collapse that reads as follows: He glances over at her and, irrationally, for just a split second, sees Kagami in that smug “I told you so” smile. Like a hot knife to a swollen water balloon, Aomine’s heart does something painful that drenches the inside of his chest in acid. “Whatever,” he spits, snapping his eyes back to the growing puddles with a sudden, ashamed anger at having thought of him again. The preview of the fic reads as follows: "He also learns, much to his horror and fury, the man's one a C rank - a full seven ranks lower than himself. Low enough he would have been laughed out of Bakugou's previous station - if he wasn't eaten whole by the first spawn he came across on his way. Kirishima. Bakugou has never put much effort into remembering anyone's name. Even espers he's been formally paired with rarely last long enough to bother with names. This one is a little different. Playing nice has never come easy, but like hell it could be that difficult. He's one of less than five triple-S rank guides in the world, dammit. If remembering a single name and overlooking the insult of being paired with some worthless C rank is enough to keep Bakugou from getting dragged out back and shot like a dog, he's pretty sure he can manage it.
