Just searched for "best cruise lines for people who definitely do not have ulcerative colitis." 👍

What aggrivates me most is that *everybody* sees the problem. But we refuse to focus on the root. The root is a broken congress that's unwilling to do what's best for the people they're representing as a whole. In fact, Congress often seems to do what's arguably worst for The People.

The gullibility...I swear it must be dead simple to make money selling cheap products that allow Americans to socially signal their die-hard allegiance to ignorance. Makes me think I should be subversively getting in on this racket. "Proud Republican" bumper stickers! (*all profits go to SDUSA*)

I'm just thinking of the fallout that Budweiser experienced. I know it's not the same stance, but the radical right is allowed to be radical without significant media push-back. Enough so that fear and hesitation are justifiable for a company with some similarities in customer base.

"Learning to nurse a computer" That's really as far as you thought about this? Ya sure, I'm positive that reducing PAs and NPs in US hospitals and replacing them with full MDs and DOs will decrease medical costs! Lol, god you pro-Trump freaks are literally a different species.

Okay, that's all I found as well. Was wondering if they were in active support of ICE, which I'd boycott. Would prefer they take a stance against authoritarianism, but I don't expect a US blue-collar handyman company to sacrifice business to protect anyone. Happy enough they're neutral.

Hold on. Honest question: Why are we punishing Home Depot? I couldn't immediatly find anything relating them to ICE.

Is this not The Onion? Seems like it's The Onion.

Meh, polls mean nothing these days. I feel like for several years now polls have been making Democrats feel good about how the public often shares their ideology...right before the hammer of oligarchy inevitably comes down to crush naïve expectations.

Either Trump will say he "can't" sign the bill--probably because it doesn't "protect the innocent"--or the "files" released will have been redacted. And not redacted in a lame, Republican conspiacy theory way, but actually altered when compared to legally reliable records.

I stand corrected. The Fairness Doctrine had significant weaknesses and may not have influenced old-school reporters like Walter Cronkite as much as I imagined. Maybe we can kill two birds with one stone then by holding those purporting to provide "news" to a new, stronger Fairness standard.

Grrr, Reaganlibrary.gov . I always forget that extra "a".

Did I have a typo? The Doctrine, at least according to Regan's own Reganlibrary.gov, was ment to prevent "biased agenda" by requiring networks to "devote time to contrasting views on issues of public importance."

Funny how Republican's call for "smaller government" always means fewer protections and less oversight against corporate abuse.

Love this. America's inablity to think critically is the root cause of our current problems. For better or worse, our ability to make informed decisions is reliant on The Media. The FCC Fairness Doctrine used to ensure this was trustworthy, but was discontinued by Republicans in 1987.

<sigh> Remember when a scandal used to actually have repercussions? Yeah, neither do I.

Eh...okay Trump is a creep, criminal, and unrepentant sex offender. BUT, be careful assuming photos of someone cuddling with their daughter is somehow "disgusting" as if proof of wrong-doing. He might have trafficked his daughter with Epstein, or he could just really adore and be proud of her.

I mean, I agree but I'd call her more of a mail order bride. Or perhaps mail order "bribe" would be more appropriate considering how connected Trump has been to the Russian mob and Kremlin.

In Rachel's 10 Nov episode, by contrast, you can't get 10 min in without her citing specific actions, numbers, events, and quotes that can all be verified. While Conservative shows seem to be flooded with sophomoric half-truths and spin, I haven't found the same to be true of Rachel's show.

For example, in the current show, host Peter Schweizer states that California has piled on environmental regulations on housing to keep people renting. A quick Google of environmental requirements shows this is for new housing/major reno and makes homes more efficient/cheaper to own.
