So you can have a complex file that imports a bunch of small files from the same folder. Then define which of these can be imported outside of the current folder.

I've seen one argument for barrel files but I've never worked on a project big enough to know if it's actually worth the hassle: they allow you to define a public API.

How's Linux support for M series Macs?

I was tempted to try Asahi but I am now getting into MacOS customization with Aerospace, Karabiner, SketchyBar and Jankyborder and it's scratching that itch.

It got fluffy! More butter than fly.

Funny he mentions Raycast. Spotlight on MacOS 26 has an opening animation now!

I do think some slow animations help casual users by giving them more context about what's happening but I'm glad the "reduce motion" setting exist. It makes everything feel a lot snappier.

The Tailwind documentation shares some strategies to deal with duplication: tailwindcss.com/docs/styling...

I'm working on a medium sized web app that uses Tailwind, and so far I haven't had to use custom CSS. (I'm not making edits in the browser however)

The difference between fisherman and sinner is half an accent ("pêcheur" vs "pécheur"). They're pronounced the same. The forbidden fruit not being a peach is a missed opportunity imo.

Randomly seeing this, I hate it too.
"Reduce transparency" and "Reduce motion" help. If you're experience performance issues you might have some luck with these commands: www.reddit.com/r/MacOS/comm...

I don't have any of the context but it looks like they're embracing his Linux distro

I believe you can see how much memory a specific tab uses by hovering the tab title (if not there's a setting for it). This looks like some website has a memory leak.

That's because it's a rectangircle.

As the name suggests these probably aren't meant to be.

I wonder if a different approach could work. Like what if instead of the "discover" feed, the app suggested theme feeds (Music? Science? DevOps?).

I think the healthiest way to use social media is by curating your own follow lists, and theme feeds are a nice way to find who to follow.
October 4, 2025 at 11:59 AM
That's how feeds used to be not so long ago!

As someone who got sick of algo feeds, I love that Bsky allows custom feeds and removing undesired default feeds from the UI. The discover feed being terrible is also a good feature lmao

I feel like for most users, slab phones peaked 5 years ago. Reviews are always the same: "Same as last year, slightly faster'. I'd only consider updating if my phone breaks or software support ends.

Got it! For the type-safe, I meant it more in a way that it wouldn't be what I type when searching for this library. (Disclaimer: I'm no SEO expert, just comparing with other libraries that came to mind like auth.js or astro).

I was sceptical about Tailwind at first, but not only I got used to the long lines, editing old projects where I need to jump between mark-up and styles feels like a drag now.

L'ancien était pas incroyable mais il avait le mérite de ressembler à quelque chose 🤷
September 24, 2025 at 12:03 PM
The website is fine imo, I'd maybe remove type-safe from the tagline.

The library is fairly young right? I think discovery will improve with word of mouth, people sharing their use cases in blog posts and content creators mentioning it. Then search engines and LLM will catch on.

Something's broken indeed, you're supposed to see a road, a free parking spot and arrow icons in the buttons.
