Sir Ian McKellen performing a monologue from Shakespeare’s Sir Thomas More on the Stephen Colbert show. Never have I heard this monologue performed with such a keen sense of prescience. Nor have I ever been in this exact historical moment.TY Sir Ian, for reaching us once again.

As a kid I imagined going out into nature like visiting a magical realm, like I was an interloper meeting animals who had never seen a human before.

It's fun realizing that we're actually in constant community with wildlife. They know of humans, they're our neighbors, they live here like us.
This isn't how birding is supposed to work!
