I recently learned that the fruit of the Turk’s Cap (aka Wax Mallow) are edible, they look and taste sort of like little bitty apples. I planted a bunch of them in the spring and now just in time for #Thanksgiving I am reaping a tiny harvest of the tiny fruit.

I caught this one this morning coming right up to our house to bury a peanut in the pot on the right. There’s plenty of open land and trees behind our backyard but I guess all their hiding places there are full, so maybe I need to cut back on my peanut offerings.
