Happy Valentine’s Day/belated “Valloween,” all! In the spirit of both, loved this @oddoblivion.bsky.social print so much I just had to get it framed.

Started playing Romeo is a Dead Man - this feels so far like all the microgames of a given WarioWare were part of a consistent story, it’s one of the most visually delirious things I’ve ever seen

Got started on “Crisol: Theater of Idols” on the Spooky Stream this evening! Gunplay and enemy variety are relatively simple so far, but it’s dripping in great alt-history horror-fantasy atmosphere. 💀 www.twitch.tv/videos/26946...

I got a lot of thoughts about Xfinity amending the plot of Jurassic Park

Why is Payton Manning dressed like an Alice in Wonderland extra and Joe Montana like a mime

Well, what do you know, Charlie Puth became a bigger artist!

Just want to make sure I have this right, because I can't tell if it's me going crazy or Just Big Tech Things: to buy and listen to music on iTunes now, you have to manually search for something (no desktop music store), get it, then manually load it into Apple Music, which is now a separate app?

Started playing Forspoken for some reason, and this might be my personal “so bad it’s good” game. The dialogue is bad, yes, but also, there’s countless janky animations, and the cutscene direction feels like one of those movies where they had to edit around having only half the footage they needed.

Re: the Nioh 3 demo: this is, as far as I can tell, not true. Upon trying to download it, I got the same “alpha’s closed” message as months ago. Why are they so resistant to people playing this game?

Beat “Enotria: The Last Song”! As soulslikes go, it’s got issues (loadouts are a neat idea that’s not ultimately too useful, enemy placement could use work, and there’s just… no tutorials menu), but the art design matches FromSoft in some areas—including, at last, a “Bloodborne 2 in Venice” level!

Nothing justifies doubling down on vinyl like dusting off my Apple Music library to upload the digital copies I got with a few LPs, only to still need to manually assemble the tracks into an album, correct the titles, and then insert album art that won't sync to my phone anyway, just like in 2012.

Watched Tony Jaa’s “The Protector” last night, when a guy threw a baby elephant through a window I almost called my brother just to talk about it

This new “The Beauty” show is one of those unique cases where, at least in the micro-trailer I got pushed on streaming this morning, it’s unclear whether they’re poorly adapting or just outright plagiarizing source material. Folks read that comic series, right?

Caught up on both seasons of “Peacemaker” — an amusing show, anchored by a great John Cena performance, albeit that probably could’ve gone on for only half as many episodes if they’d just trimmed every improv exchange about halfway through, which was invariably where those could’ve safely ended.

Ok, just rolled credits on Metroid Prime 4—wild whiplash to go from the emotionally satisfying conclusion of Stranger Things yesterday to, uh… Samus just leaving mid-fight with a faceless bad guy whose motives are never explained? And what was with those flashbacks?
January 17, 2026 at 12:50 AM
Finished Stranger Things! Sure, maybe the series did go on a bit long—and offer a fairly sanitized fantasy of 80s nostalgia at the best of times—but still, I think the only thing I want to do in life is write something this memorable and fun.

I’m enjoying Metroid Prime 4 when it’s actually being a Metroidvania, but this game still feels like a dark joke on the player at times
