I kind of think it depends. There's kind of always been a trend of people going prude around 30. I saw it happen to gen x (I'm mill), millennials definitely have, and elder gen z are starting to. With shows casually adding nudity, it's awkward telling family about shows with otherwise good plot.

I always liked games that had a "journal" with story details written in the order you encountered them and the ability to replay cut earlier scenes. Some games are even still doing that, but it feels like not enough game do it.
