It’s no different in cause than those maga who only turn on Trump (and/or his elected followers) when something affects them personally. They don’t care how much his actions hurt other people.

Most don’t care because it won’t affect their lives directly, or so they think. When it does affect them, it will be too late to do much, and they will blame everyone but themselves.

The foundational issue here is the same foundation of most of the challenges of this new century: a large majority only care about what affects them personally, and in the short run. We will all be dead when the worst effects of climate change manifest.

Well, could be he is acting exactly like a person (P1) would if the person (P2) he speaks out against only when P2 seems down and on his way out, but P2 has evidence about some secret P1 wants to keep hidden, must keep hidden at all costs.

I strongly agree that he has done much to stop foreign relations.

I’m with you. I hope one day we live up to what our founding documents and subsequent improvements in amendments and law claim we believe.

Nice thought, yet… in a country where EQUAL justice for ALL is valued, the same could be said for those convicted of more than 30 felonies, or proven to have formed a charity used only for self-enrichment, or cheated on taxes, or known for not paying workers nor satisfying other legal contracts…plus

For sure, Austin. If what he does and says were not so dangerous and destructive-because of his position as president, most of it would be great comedy.

There was a time when I could have confidently predicted what the Supremes would rule on questions of presidential overreach and equal justice for ALL.

Sadly, in these times, it is completely unpredictable…almost as if the Constitution is no longer their guide and anchor.

Don’t feel bad. Most of us rarely know what he’s referencing…and it’s highly likely he himself also does not know.

Question: are there any actions that could be taken to reduce their ability to press charges without sufficient evidence, or to make them pay a cost for this continual misuse of the courts?

For the Felon and his regime, convictions are not as important as their use of the justice system to harass and intimidate, while not having to pay for any of it out of their own fat accounts (we taxpayers pay for their harassment machine).

We are in salvage mode…trying to not lose even more unrecoverable status, trying not to lose our very democracy.

Let’s fight together to hang on to as much as we can.

We are as a country, unfortunately, already past the point that we could recover what has been lost - our strong position as leader of democratic countries, gone; our strong position as leader of science and medicine, gone; our strong position as an education and research leader, gone;and more.

I do not understand why the countries that are quite vocal against pootin in Ukraine are not just as loud about these state sanctioned murders. I know the USA is not a member of the international court, and neither is Russia. Yet pootin indicted. Why not now our Felon leader?

Once we’ve drawn enough to turn things around, let’s redouble our efforts to make sure all know it requires a never ending effort to keep our democracy. We the people must all stay involved (past history: after big turns, many become complacent - and the evil then returns).
