Ok, I need to be more consistent in tag use.
Stoneware Lates niloticus head.
I love washes to highlight barely visible texture
(This is after bisque, after applying copper wash, but before higher temp application)

I could not find if these were described and under what name ? They were not a few years ago.
This is an older picture, this is a species that mostly hides (at least in my place...)

A print using real shrimps from the fishmonger. Not sure of the species, should have made a picture...
Both prints use art oilpaint on paper.

Ceramic Exhibition platter "Bernard Palissy" style with molded freshwater fishes (there is a pike, a perch, a smaller pike, an eel I think...), a crawfish, snakes, and assorted gasteropods and plants.
Attributed to V. Barbizet, second half of 19th century, The Met

These are all glazed on all sides, I made supports with kiln resistant metal spikes.
The hair ornament is oatmeal in a band on the middle, on mullberry.

My favorite is this teleost fish dentary, oxides on red glaze. Have to make more.
The saturation gold glaze makes great inside surfaces where it cannot run away.
An example is this frog pendant with celadons glazes on the outside.
