Your education cannot be social media. If you're not reading, you're not learning. Podcasts can be educational when they have scholars, authors, etc who actually have expertise on a topic. Reading is essential. When Kendrick said "turn the TV off" it was more than a metaphor.

When I was an arts reporter back in the day (yes it’s true), I had access to rich people who were patrons of the arts. (This was in Savannah & Charleston.) Thing I learned: they often have terrible taste. I mean really terrible. That the Oval Office is gilt in gold by an insecure rich man is par.

I would add one more thing: they often do not see other people the way you see other people. It’s like everyone who is not them is basically a servant or a criminal. Their morality is based on that worldview. It’s a plantation mentality if you know what I mean.
